Some Obscurish facts

The aboriginal people of northern Australia have many legends and stories about creatures and events both past and current. The Burranjor is one of these creatures, believed by white settlers to be only a legend the aboriginals claim that they exist to this day. The Burranjor is a reptile claimed to be frequently seen and avoided by the aboriginal peoples. It is described as being bipedal and up to 20’ from head to tip of tail. I am told the regions cave art depicts these creatures though I have yet to see any pictures of them. I do know that European people living in the region take the stories seriously and some claim to have seen the creature which they emphatically state is not a crocodile. They say there are sections of the northern scrublands and jungles that horses will not enter. Many who travel the country have seen footprints of a large creature. These prints are 3 toed and up to 30 inches in size. Sadly casts taken of these prints and sent in for research have vanished without trace. Sightings have been erratic but regular from 1940’s to current times. The beast is said to have a mottled greenish - grey skin and look something like a raptor or T Rex. It is noted be those that have seen it that it appears unafraid of man but extremely wary preferring to move away when it knows its observed. Whatever it is no one that has seen it has wanted to pursue it even when well armed.
